Fall Cocoa Classic on Cougar Bay - Lake CDA

Thursday Night Paddles are easy and casual trips of about 1½ to 2 hours for the purpose of getting to know other paddlers, practicing good paddling and safety skills, and learning about paddling opportunities in the Coeur d'Alene area.

The group leaves at 6:00 PM sharp!

Please arrive in time to unload your boat, set up your gear, and check in with the Trip Coordinator.

Lights will be required as we will be crossing the Spokane River at dusk, or later.

When:Thursday, September 12, 2024, 05:30 PM
Coordinator:Marty McCain
Difficulty:Basic - Short (a few hours or half-day trip); usually flat water; good weather expected; mild conditions; although twilight visibility to darkness could be a factor if late in the day.
Location:North Idaho College Beach
Directions:From Northwest Blvd, take River Avenue west to Rosenberry Drive (aka the dike road) one way along the Spokane River and CdA Lake.  The NIC Beach (aka Sunspot) is by the brown recreation building on the lake side of the road which also has a grass area and volleyball courts.  There is a driveway by the recreation building where equipment can be unloaded.  Parking is along the dike road.
