| | Car Camping Trip Slocan Lake, British Columbia | (This event has been changed due to wildfire effects in Slocan valley) We will be camping at a shoreline campground $18Can,and making day trips up, down and across the lake. Flush toilets and showers are available as well as the described scenery (below) and mining history of the Slocan Valley. Slocan Lake offers an extended kayak/canoe camping adventure on a 23 mile crystal clear lake bordering Valhalla Provincial Park in BC. There are many small, boat-in campsites along the western edge offering sandy beaches, waterfalls, and some hiking trails into the interior. Between campsites, shoreline is rugged with granite outcroppings.
